As this article explains, used organic baby clothes provide a better and more comfortable wear for your precious bundle of joy ...

The arrival of a new baby in the family is both exciting and scary. Exciting because you become part of the miracle of creating a new life and scary because you are filled with apprehension on how you would be able to cope with the new responsibilities. There was a saying that goes, 'It is not adults that make children, but children that make adults'.

In other words, you would never feel more like an adult than when you hold that little bundle of joy in your arms. There would be so many emotions felt during that magical moment – love, fear of coping up, fierce need to protect it from all harm, anticipation of bonding and so on.

The Preparation Before The Baby Arrives – Collecting Used Organic Baby Clothes

When the baby is born it he or she is extremely vulnerable to all types of harmful germs and chemicals. This is why in ancient civilizations the new mother and her baby were not allowed to leave the house for at least one month, lest any misfortune befall the baby. In the modern times we are living there is no such compulsion, though most parents prefer to follow the same rules.

However, there are other traditional beliefs that are still followed today such as collecting used organic baby clothes for the newborn. The tradition has it that a new born baby should not wear anything new until it is one month old. Hence, the would be mothers would go on a collecting spree for used organic baby clothes starting from the seventh month onwards so as to gather a decent amount of clothing before the due date.

There are two plausible explanations for such behavior. In most Asiatic countries for example, there are no preparations for the would-be new born until a prayer ceremony that takes place anytime during the seventh month of pregnancy. The reason for this is that in case the would-be-mother suffers from a miscarriage the previous preparations would be extremely painful for the to-be parents, especially the mother. If it reaches the seventh month, then the danger of such a mishap becomes drastically lower.

The second explanation is that the new born baby should not wear anything new, including organic clothing, because its skin is too delicate and the new garment might create rashes on the skin due to micro-trauma. On the other hand when the used organic baby clothes are utilized, the cloth is already softened, and the cotton has already been made fully absorbent, etc.

In this way the used organic baby clothes would provide a better and more comfortable wear for your precious bundle of joy.
