The Effects Of DEA On Organic Baby Bath Products
By Baby Health Editor
As this article explains, it is very important that infants are protected from any products that might contain harmful chemicals, such as clothing, skin care products, bedding and even furniture ...
When babies are born their skin is one of the most vulnerable of all organs in the body because it is too soft and tender thus being incapable of protecting itself from any type of germ invasion or as a matter of fact, even infiltration by harmful chemicals from the surrounding environment.
This is why it is very important that infants are protected from any products that might contain harmful chemicals, such as clothing, skin care products, bedding and even furniture.
What Is The Diethanolamine And Why It Is Considered A Harmful Chemical?
The DEA as this chemical is better known is an alkanolamine (name of class of chemical) and an active ingredient in countless personal and home care products such as detergents (for dish washing and clothes), soaps, cosmetics, bubble baths, conditioners, etc. A number of government funded research studies have linked this chemical with serious damage to liver, spleen, kidneys and other organs.
This is an ingredient that has been found to promote cancer in rats, particularly when it comes into contact with the skin. Though DEA has a low toxicity level, this is enough to create havoc in the body of an adult human being but it tends to accumulate in the body – particularly in the fat layers of the body - and thus amplify its power and effects internally and externally.
Research studies found such accumulations in the fatty tissues of almost all internal organs as a result of continued exposure – as this chemical is difficult to expel naturally from the body. These studies also indicated the possibility of triggering anemia, nerve damage and spinal chord atrophy as a direct result of regular topical application.
Scary, is it not? If this is what it does to the body of a full grown adult, imagine what it could do to a few days old baby when it is bathed with the regular and much touted baby products instead of safe and completely chemical free organic baby bath products.
Organic Baby Bath Products To The Rescue
Beware that presently there are many, many products out there in the market which have DEA as their main ingredient and this includes a number of baby products as well. You need to exclusively choose organic baby bath products carefully scanning it for the presence of DEA to ensure that your baby is not exposed to such perils.
The only way to ensure that your baby is protected from this horror chemical is by making certain that you use only one hundred percent chemical free organic baby bath products for your baby. Do not take any type of risk if you feel that your baby deserves better. Always choose organic baby bath products because they would be free of DEA.
